Tales from the City: The Literary Walk in partnership with The Parks Trust

Join us for a 90 minute literary walk around CMK to hear funny, poignant, tender, euphoric, apocalyptic and downright crazy stories and poems from our #MinK anthologies of the best of local writing. Event is part of Walking Festival 2024, organised by The Parks Trust.

Join Duncan Minshull for an enlightening stroll around Campbell Park, weaving in selected stories from his latest anthology of literary greats, Globetrotting: Writers Walk The World. The walk begins and ends at The Parks Trust in Campbell Park, and will take approximately 90 minutes.
New Historical Fiction with Conn Iggulden and Giles Kristian

Giles Kristian and Conn Iggulden will be in conversation with award-winning writer/director, Philip Stevens, as they talk about their gripping new historical fiction novels, Arthur and Nero. A Dress for Kathleen began life as a hand-embroidered Irish linen dress honouring a teenager who died cycling home from work early in World War II. Heather Richardson’s testimonial to her aunt is now a book that explores family, making and the threads that connect past and present.
