Poems and tales from the city, from green spaces, from home. From Midsummer, Midwinter and Lammas. From the future, the past and more. Join Lit Fest at Waterstones for a session of readings that celebrate the depth, breadth and quality of local writing.

MK Lit Fest has been laying foundations – both on- and offline - to support and encourage the growth and development of creative writing across our region:  by finding and sharing stories by new, developing and established writers, through competitions, anthologies, workshops and performances, through galas, an indie book fair and literary walks. For this penultimate festival event, you’ll hear some of the most inspiring, intriguing and insightful pieces chosen from the last eight years of festival writing: we only wish we had time to include even more of our favourites.
