'How good that the stories of these adventurous and wonderful women who made extraordinary journeys around the world have now come to light.'
– Dame Joanna Lumley
We're delighted to welcome back leading criminologist and distinguished author, Professor David Wilson, to discus his new book, A History of Modern Britain in Twenty Murders, which explores what our nation's most lethal murders reveal about us.
A thrilling blend of history and true crime, A History of Modern Britain in Twenty Murders examines what multiple murders across a range of eras can tell us about our past...and our present. Discussing many crimes and points in history we think we know, Wilson reveals why some cases particularly resonate and reverberate through public consciousness, and how they help us understand Britain's complex, diverse and ongoing history.
David's book will be available to purchase on the night, and he will be staying after his talk to sign and dedicate copies. All ticketholders will receive a complimentary beverage. David's events are always hugely entertaining, sod on't miss your chance to be part of this riveting evening - we look forward to seeing you there!
