A fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in indie and self-publishing, the MK Lit Fest Ingram Day combines a tour of Ingram’s state-of-the-art digital print facility, right here in Milton Keynes, with presentations on key aspects of successful publishing, and the chance to meet other local writers over lunch. Places are limited, and pre-booking is essential.

The presentations will include:

Marketing your book
Metadata: what it is and how to make it work for you
Distribution and its various types

During the day you will have the chance to tour the printworks in small groups to understand the printing process, and discover more about the different routes to publishing.

NB: Up to four tickets can be included per booking, and you will be asked for contact details, and allergy, dietary and access requirements for each ticket holder when booking. Everyone taking the print facility tour will also be required to complete an NDA agreement with Ingram. Please also note the following:

all visitors must wear a visitor badge or other approved name tag and must enter and exit through the Main Lobby of the building
only closed-toe shoes are acceptable
shoe heels should not exceed 1 inch in height
bags are not allowed to be taken into the distribution centre or the plant floor
photography is not allowed in the facilities
Hi Viz vests are to be worn on the production floor by all on the tour.
